The first select committee to discuss the recent petition was held on Thursday 1st August at 10am in Stanley’s Court and Council Chambers.

The petition looks to reduce or abolish VSAT licences and for the Communications Regulator to give regulatory approval for Starlink to offer domestic tariffs in the Falkland Islands.

This committee follows on from the recent unveiling of the petition results which showed that over 2000 individuals across the community desire to see changes to telecommunications services in the islands.
