Youth Parliament members Shammah Tandare and Oliver Berntsen have been elected to sit on the Stanley committee of the Shackleton Scholarship Fund.

The committee, which also has a branch in London, assesses funding applications for scientific research proposals and schemes that benefit the wider Falklands community.

However, they felt some younger perspectives were required.
