Starlink users in the Falklands received an email from the company on Wednesday 5th February, notifying them that their services would be discontinued.
The email stated they were using the service in an unauthorised territory and that the local telecommunication authority had instructed Starlink to disable their services.
Many users awoke on the morning of Friday 7th, to find that their access to the internet through a Starlink Terminal was none existent and that the service was no longer accessible to them.
Members of the community were quick to spread the word through social media, voicing their sadness and frustration.
