This tourism season will not surpass last year's

It is anticipated that visitor numbers during this tourism season will not surpass last year’s. Last season saw over 73,000 cruise ship passengers visit the islands alongside land based visitors- over 1000 passengers more than the 2019-2020 season. A record breaking £15.2 million was generated by cruise and land based tourists, marking a 37% growth on the previous year. However with the absence of Celebrity Cruises ship, The Infinity, visiting the islands, this season is predicted to see less cruise ship passengers arrive on Falkland’s shores.
