The license to operate will see changes next tourism season, including tour guide accreditation becoming a part of the essential criteria. Due to what has been seen as knowledge gaps in the current tour guide operating base the Falklands Island Tourism Board has decided that any operator that has been working since 2017 will need to take the tour guide accreditation course. 75 current tour guides have been identified as needing to gain the accreditation before the start of next season.
