King Edward Memorial Hospital Updates Falkland Islands Over UK Meningitis B Outbreak

The UK Health Security Agency says an outbreak of Meningitis B in the Kent area has been contained.

As of Monday 23rd March, 20 cases had been found with 19 confirmed as Meningitis B.

There were a further 9 suspected cases still being looked at.

With several young Falklanders studying in the UK, the King Edward Memorial Hospital is urging people to stay vigilant.
