Falkland Islands Government will allocate an additional £250,000 towards the construction of the new sports centre.

This takes the total amount allocated by the Government to the project to £1.92m.

Executive Council approved the request, but stressed this will be the last financial aid the project will receive from the Government.

The NSC has agreed to raise an additional £50,000 through private sector contributions, and will cover any future costs the project may incur.
