One Whale Makes an Epic Journey to Falklands Waters

Welcome back, a journey of 15,288 kilometres sounds exhausting and not one I’d fancy making, but for one southern right whale it’s the exact journey they did make –from South African calving grounds, to South Georgia via the Falkland Islands. The tagged whale was spotted during Falkland’s Conservations whale research, and is the first recorded Southern Right Whale to make a transatlantic crossing. We went to find out more about this globetrotting whale.
