56 Years Since SS Great Britain Returned From Falklands To UK

The 24th of April marked 56 years since the SS Great Britain began its final voyage from the Falklands back to the UK.

The iron ship had lain scuttled in Sparrow cove since 1936 before being refloated by international and local salvagers.

The ship is now an award-winning museum in Bristol – where she was built.
