The Cape Pembroke Half Marathon 2025 saw 41 runners and 12 walkers take on one of the Falkland Islands’ most scenic and challenging routes.

Battling through all four seasons in a morning, participants pushed themselves against wind, rain, and even hail before crossing the finish line under bursts of sunshine.

Starting from Stanley’s Town Hall, the 20.9km course took competitors along Ross Road, Rowlands Rise, the bypass, and out to Cape Pembroke Lighthouse before making the tough return journey back to The Narrows.

From experienced athletes to first-time half-marathoners, this year’s event was a true test of endurance and determination.

With the support of dedicated volunteers and cheering spectators, runners and walkers embraced the challenge in true Falklands spirit.
