Executive Council has approved a new Road Traffic Law, focusing specifically on the awarding of Falkland Islands driving licences to overseas licence holders.

The paper sets out proposals for those moving to the Falklands to complete a competency test before being allowed to drive, with some exceptions.

The plan follows a period of public consultation on the matter in 2025.
