Falkland Islands Government Air Service has submitted a proposal to fly for just four days a week during winter.

With aircraft requiring significant maintenance work, FIGAS say this is the only way they will have a chance of being ready for the next tourist season.

The proposal was discussed by the Transport Advisory Committee, before going to MLAs for a final decision.
