Daphne Arthur-Almond Claims Dramatic Tie-Break Victory Over Canada

Daphne Arthur-Almond secured a dramatic comeback victory for the Falkland Islands against Canada’s Kelly McKerihen in the Women’s Singles at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

McKerihen made the stronger start, taking the opening set 9–2. Arthur-Almond responded in a closely contested second set, edging it 5–4 to force a deciding tie-break.

The Falklands bowler then held her nerve to win the tie-break 1–0 and complete the victory in Section A.
