Daphne Arthur-Almond claimed another victory for the Falkland Islands in the Women’s Singles at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, defeating Jersey’s Abbey Andrieux in straight sets.
Andrieux opened strongly and moved into a 5–0 lead in the first set, but Arthur-Almond produced an impressive recovery, scoring 10 shots across the remaining ends to take the set 10–6.
The second set was closely contested, with little separating the two bowlers. Arthur-Almond edged ahead in the closing stages and held on to win 6–5, completing a 2–0 victory in Section A.
