Falkland Islands Maritime Authority comments on the Argos Georgia incident

Recovery efforts to locate the missing crew members of the fishing vessel Argos Georgia have officially come to end. Falkland Islands Maritime Authority received a distress call from the vessel last Monday and the crew were forced to abandon ship that afternoon. 14 members of the crew were rescued, 9 bodies were retrieved and 4 crew still remain missing. MV Pharos SG conducted detailed searches to find the missing crew last weekend but were unsuccessful.
