Future of Falkland Islands Peatlands Project in Flux

Globally, peatland degradation accounts for 4 to 5% of all greenhouse gas emissions, and the Falklands contains around 10% of all peat under UK jurisdiction.

With the ongoing Peatlands Greenhouse Gas project only funded until June or July, the scientists in charge are keen to stress why it is so important.
