The redevelopment of the Falkland Islands Government Air Service aircraft hangar is nearing completion, providing improved facilities for the FIGAS fleet.

The ageing facility had suffered from leaks and problems with its doors, making it increasingly difficult to store and maintain aircraft.

UK-based construction company Adderstone Group has been carrying out the upgrade, with the finishing touches now being made.
