Ordnance found at Bennett's Paddock

On Wednesday, a suspected ordnance was found at Pale Maiden Crescent. It has since been inspected by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team and found to be an empty artillery shell.

It has now been removed and taken from the site.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal team from Mount Pleasant was also called out to dispose of 18 ordnances found on Bennett’s Paddock in Stanley last weekend.

The team performed technical work over the course of two days to ensure that the area was safe. Four of the shells were exploded as part of this process.
