This morning, Her Excellency the Governor Alison Blake CMG was sworn in as the Governor of the Falkland Islands and Commissioner of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.
Her Excellency, who is the first female governor of the Falkland Islands, was later welcomed by a crowd at Victory Green where an inspection of the guard took place, followed by a 17 gun salute.
