Images of tourists close to the penguins on Yorke Bay have been spread around Facebook leading to concerns as to how tourism could be impacting wildlife areas. The standard rule is to keep a distance of 6 metres when visiting wildlife habitats, but anecdotal evidence shows that this was not happening. The environment department went to Yorke Bay to put some rope barriers in place.
