The new care facility, Tussac House, has been officially handed over to Falkland Islands Government.
Construction was completed at the start of January this year and the building has been passed on to the Health and Social Service Department.
Preparations are underway to set up staff on site, and ensure the rooms are fully equipped for the first residents.
It is anticipated that the first six residents will be moving from Hillside to Tussac House from Monday 27th January 2025.
