Cecil Alexander ended his Commonwealth Games bowls campaign on a high, defeating Malta’s Shaun James Parnis in straight sets to secure a third-place finish in Section D of the Men’s Singles.
Representing the Falkland Islands in his final sectional match, Alexander claimed the opening set 5–3 before completing a 6–3 victory in the second to secure the match in straight sets.
The win marked Alexander’s second victory of the tournament, bringing his Commonwealth Games campaign to a positive conclusion, with a third place finish in his Section, after a series of closely contested matches against international opposition.
