The potential introduction of a medical services levy was raised at last week’s Health and Medical Services committee.

The idea was raised by MLA John Birmingham as the committee discussed fees and charges for medical services in the Falklands.

With the increasing cost of running the medical services that are accessible to the public, areas in which additional revenue can be generated are becoming a serious discussion.
