The Falkland Islands Government have confirmed that they intend to charter a flight to Chile from the Falkland Islands later this month. The flight will be for compassionate reasons, meaning residents can buy tickets if they need to renew travel or identification documents, visit family members or to manage personal or health issues which have been impacted by Covid-19.
If given the green light, the flight will leave on the 19th March and return on the 9th April. All passengers will be required to take a PCR or lateral flow test upon return to the Falklands and be required to make their own arrangements for quarantine.
Booking is now open for those wishing to make the journey with 168 spaces available based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
