Falklands Funds to Help Rehome Family After Jamaica Hurricane

Fundraising efforts to provide hurricane relief in Jamaica have taken another step forward.

Debbie James, the Falklands’ only resident Jamaican, returned to her home nation during Christmas and has been meeting contacts around the island.

Whilst she is still short of the 3.8m Jamaican dollars needed for it, her aim is to use the money raised by the Falklands community to provide a family affected by Hurricane Melissa last October with a new home.

If you’d like to donate to Debbie’s cause, you can send money to the Stephen Jaffray Memorial Fund account, using account number 001004174000, with the reference “Jamaica Hurricane Relief Fundraiser”.
