MLAs have u-turned over the decision to not award increments to all FIG salary grades, with this set to be confirmed at June’s Executive Council meeting. The decision to only award the increments for those on bands I to D was taken in last month’s budget along with an extra pay award on the same criteria. This decision was met with upset from government workers. We spoke with MLA Roberts about her decision to vote for the budget, both in ExCo and Legislative Assembly, despite her disagreement with the salary decisions.
