Hospital staff "anxious" to access data

As a result of the KEMH inspection report, no significant safety concerns in areas investigated were identified. However, a list of recommendations for FIG to consider were listed.

These include an over-arching strategy, staff development and appraisals, and confidentiality.

Significant improvements were found around the accessing of patient data following the recent patient record data breaches.

However there was a notable level of anxiety among staff who felt that they may get in trouble for legitimately accessing patient records.
