April 2 marked 40 years since Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands. To commemorate the occasion a special reception was held at Government House, where a plaque with the names of FIDF veterans who answered the call to arms was unveiled.

A whiskey auction was also held, with a bottle signed by Sir Michael Rose going for £670. The proceeds went towards various Falklands charities.
