Seaweed Scientists scour Falklands shores

Many members of the Falklands community will be no strangers to the sight of seaweed on local shores.

However, what might surprise some is that many types of local seaweed can’t be found anywhere else in the world.

This interesting insight has been uncovered by a team of scientists from the UK’s Natural History Museum after undertaking two previous fieldwork trips to the Falklands.

The team are back on the Islands now to continue their seaweed studies and Jonny was lucky enough to tag along with them at Yorke Bay to learn more about their findings.
